A young girl from a Turkish village in Northern Iraq witnesses the murder of her entire family in an American raid. While we don’t necessarily know if the information that the US troops gathered about that village is true, we surely know that the entire household is killed even though they don’t resist, except Cennet, or Heaven, who is saved by just pure chance.
So she goes to Kirkuk to find her brother who runs a barber shop there, but she finds out that her brother is heavily wounded in a bomb attack and sent to Turkey for treatment. So Cennet tries to go to Turkey, however, she has to try illegal ways because she doesn’t have a passport.
