From independent bisexual director Godmilow comes this minimalist story of the relationship between author Gertrude Stein (Bassett) and her lover/companion Alice B. Toklas (Hunt). Although their sexuality is not stated, it is quietly understood.Their Paris apartment was host to the modernist revolution in writing and art. Such guests as Ernest Hemingway and Pablo Picasso were regulars at Gertrude and Alice's salon. Waiting for the Moon is true to Stein's modernist bent and relies on inference to tell the love story between two of the 20th century's most extraordinary women.
