Pour l'anniversaire de son mari Jean, Linda Atkins, une chorégraphe américaine installée à Paris, est à la recherche d'un cadeau original. Elle organise donc une audition un peu spéciale pour choisir les danseurs et danseuses susceptibles de réaliser les fantasmes de Jean. Trois d'entre eux attirent son attention : Daniel, Laure et Sophie. Linda séduit Daniel, pousse Sophie dans les bras de son époux, et destine Laure à la surprise finale.
